life saver.

you see this thing below.  that thing is a steamer.  the most amazing efficient thing that saves me energy and my mom from grief.  she hates dislikes wrinkles and i hate dislike ironing so this wonder machine makes up for it.  i am grateful that is has made it into my life....

...just saying.  it's pretty amazing.

i just LOVE good love story.  don't you?  i recently just finished the book One Day and i highly suggest you read it as well. hooked like chocolate i was!

witness protection.

first, thank you for all your sweet comments about the change.  it's still crazy to get use to; but it's actually growing on me and i'm liking the change.  i still feel like i'm wearing a wig though [like taylor swift.] plus no one recognizes me so its like i'm in some kind of witness protection agency.  thanks for all your sweet thoughts on the blog, tweets, emails and in person.  very much appreciated!

second, i know this is super early but i'm starting to think of christmas ideas.  anyone have any good ideas that you have done in the past that people loved?  please share your thoughts!  thanks.

to the dark side.

if you follow my tweets then you might know that i have taken a faithful step and changed my hair color.   after being blonde for 21 years i have gone to the dark side.  it's a huge change for me and i'm still deciding if i like it or not.  and even if i come to the conclusion that i don't...i can always go back blonde!

she took some length off which i wasn't too thrilled about but it was damaged so least it's healthier now.  it's definitely going to have to take time to get use to it.  but change is good :)

what's your favorite part of this year?

this past weekend the boy and i carved pumpkins and watched sleepy hollow.  the previous weekend we went to a haunted house and a corn maze the week prior to that.

what do you do fun for the halloween season?  also what scary movies are your favorite?  do please tell me so i can add them to my list.

mary poppins.

this past weekend my mom and i decided to decorate the house for fall.  we bought pumpkins, orange lights, leaf garlands and of course corn stalks.  what we didn't think smartly about is the car that should have been chosen for picking up all these things.  we drove our little civic instead of the big truck.  let me tell ya.  instead of taking pictures of the process...i should have taken pictures of all the looks we got.  but my mom being the mary poppins she is, made it work

new girl.

i have a new favorite show and i'm sure you've heard about it or have seen it.   new girl played by the lovely zooey deschanel.  I LOVE IT!  something about her character and how she lives with three guys just reminds me of well, me.  maybe the fact that i rely on a few of my certain close guy friends for everything or the fact that she has her "oh!" moments too.  either way, i think you should probably watch it and let me know what you think!

this weekend is going to be pretty relaxing.  going to thriller production tonight, maybe a haunted house tomorrow and a hockey game sunday all while enjoying momma and me time this whole weekend!  what are your plans!?

i have this aching, burning, hungry desire to go explore.  explore things i have yet to experience.   i want to be dropped at a foreign land and where i can take in surrounding life, new culture, or a different perspective.  it might be because i'm loaded up to my nose with heavy exams and papers this week but the thought of leaving and escaping to somewhere new is exciting.
