Clayton passed away early morning April 16th from heart failure.
He was born on December 18, 1989 one minute ahead of his twin sister and best friend Jamie, and to loving parents Richard and Vicky.
He enjoyed a boisterous and energetic upbringing in the Holladay and Fruit Heights areas. He loved sports and especially baseball spending countless hours playing catch with his dad. He was a wizard in video editing and production, computer software of all types and was perfectly content to be at his laptop day and night. He was a young Entrepreneur, started his own business at 17 and helped with website development for other enterprises.
At age 12, he contracted diabetes but handled it on all fronts and was proud of his control of the disease. He attended Burton Elementary, Kaysville Jr. High, where he was a class officer, and graduated from Davis High School. He was a senior at Utah State University and was employed as an IT Security Analyst for the State of Utah - a job he loved. He will always be remembered as our "Bud" and was a good, loyal friend to many and a protector of his mom and sister.
He was preceded by two grandfathers Burke and Jack.
Survived by parents and sister, his Grandmothers Dorothy and "Nana" Joan, Aunts Susan Osborne (David), Cathy McAbery (Chuck), Uncle Rick Wilder (Mari), cousins John, Deena, Ryan, Kelli, Rich, Andy, Erin and Meghann.

Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Clayton Jenkins Business Scholarship through the Davis Education Foundation at http://www.daviseducationfoundation.org.
Condolences may be sent through his obituary at www.bergmortuary.com.

Clayton you'll forever be in my heart and by my side.
xoxo, your twin sister, jamie

Jamie, I cannot tell you how deeply saddened I am to hear this. Clayton was so blessed to have a sister like you and I'm sure was well-loved by everyone who knew him.

I'm sending out prayers to you and your family, please know you're in my thoughts at this difficult time. I don't know if there's anything I can do but if there is, just name it and I will. That's a promise.

Please take care of yourself.

Jamie, I am visiting via our mutual friend Barry. Know that you have many people keeping you and your family in their thoughts and praying that you are able to find peace and remember Clayton and all the adventures you shared together and the memories that you made together.

He will forever be in your heart, and he will always be with you ... an Angel that will be smiling and helping you navigate this thing called life on earth. Blessings, HHL

Breaks my heart. I love you. I think of you often although we haven't ever really been that close, and of Clayton. I enjoy reading your blog, and still enjoy reading his. I'm so so sorry. I have a talk written by my grandpa when my cousin passed away... it helped with the healing, although something so tragic, no one can ever really heal from. Let me know if you'd like to read it. Another good thing I read when she passed was the Shack. Anyway. You can know that I am praying for you, and my heart aches for you and your family. He is now in a better place and in better health, and happy. Let him live through you, embrace all of his interests so his life can continue here through you. I love you. the end.

Hello, Jamie. I'm visiting from Barry's blog. Funny, we called my son "Bud" while I was pregnant with him. Sending love and light to you and your family during this difficult time.

So sad to learn of your loss. Losing a sibling, and a twin at that, is so incredibly painful. I hope you find peace and comfort at this time from the love surrounding you.
